The Green Mark certification scheme was introduced in Singapore, in January 2005. New public sector buildings are obliged to obtain Green Mark certification, including Green Mark Platinum for new buildings with air-conditioned areas exceeding 5,000 sqm, as part of the public sector’s commitment to lead in environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
